Oil Tank Truck: Also referred to as a mobile refueling vehicle, computerized tax-controlled fuel truck, fuel transport trailer, oil carrier, or petroleum transport vehicle, it is primarily designed for the transportation and storage of petroleum derivatives (e.g., gasoline, diesel, crude oil, lubricants, and coal tar).

Versatile Fuel Handling Capabilities: Depending on specific applications and operational environments, these trucks are equipped with multifunctional features such as fuel suction, pumping, multi-compartment loading/unloading, and segregated oil distribution. The specialized components of a fuel transport truck include:

• Tank body
• Power take-off (PTO)
• Drive shaft
• Gear oil pump
• Pipeline network system (comprising an oil pump, 3-way/4-position ball valve, bidirectional ball valve, filtration screen, and piping).

 

 

1. The cross-section of an oil tank can be elliptical, trapezoidal-rounded, rectangular-rounded, etc. It is generally constructed by welding carbon steel plates and serves as the oil storage container for oil tankers. Depending on the transported medium, materials such as stainless steel or aluminum alloy may also be used.

 

2. The interior of the oil tank is equipped with longitudinal partition plates, while the top of the tank is fitted with protective plates, platforms, and other components. It also includes access holes, inspection holes, and vent valves. The bottom of the oil tank is designed with a sedimentation trough.

 

1. Lateral oil baffles and longitudinal oil baffles (also called anti-surge plates) function to minimize oil sloshing during vehicle operation.

2. Manhole: Located on the top for oil filling and providing access for personnel to perform maintenance and inspections inside the tank.

3. Attachment beams: Welded to the tank body and securely mounted to the chassis longitudinal beams using U-bolts or connection lugs for reliable installation.

4. Ladder: Provides convenient access to the top of the oil tank.
