-Hydraulic aerial work platforms use hydraulic pumps to convert fluid pressure into mechanical energy, controlling the movement of extending arms and height of the lift through hydraulic cylinders. These platforms are also equipped with various safety features, such as platform guardrails, safety harnesses, and self-balancing controls, ensuring worker safety at heights.

-Electric aerial work platforms utilize electric motors to drive the movement of extending arms and lifting platforms, offering a more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient alternative.

Structural characteristics of aerial work platforms include the use of a chassis engine to transmit power to the hydraulic pump. Hydraulic oil is filtered through coarse and fine filters to maintain system cleanliness and safety. The operations of components like stabilizer leg extension and retraction, lifting mechanisms, and rotating platforms are controlled by corresponding hydraulic devices via directional valves. When not in use, hydraulic oil is returned directly to the tank through a relief circuit.
