LPG Cooking Gas Station Setting Up Requirement-Chinese

The standards for the construction of LPG gas stations is different in countries. The following China's basic site selection and construction requirements are for reference. To ensure the safe and sound operation & Construction of your gas station.

LPG Gas Staton Site Requirement:

1.       Gas storage and distribution stations should be far away from urban residential areas, villages and towns, schools, industrial areas, theaters, stadiums and other crowded areas.

2.       The gas storage and distribution station should be far away from the production and operation enterprises of inflammable and explosive materials, airports, railways, highways, bridges, culverts, important buildings, dams, flood control dikes, and important facilities such as communications and transportation hubs.

3.       The site of the liquefied petroleum gas storage and distribution station should be selected in a flat, open area that is not easy to accumulate liquefied petroleum gas, while avoiding earthquake zones, foundation subsidence, abandoned mines and minefields.

Fire Fighting Distance Requirement for Gas Station

 Distance between Storage Tank & Outside Building

A: For total storage capacity is less than 50m3

1.       At least 50 meters away from the outer wall of the industrial zone outside the station.

2.       40 meters away from civil buildings

3.       At least 20 meters away from the shoulder of highways, first-class and second-class roads outside the station

4.       At least 15 meters away from the shoulder of the third and fourth-level highway outside the station

5.       At least 1.5 times the pole height from the overhead power line outside the station.

6.       At least 30 meters away from the first and second communication lines outside the station.

B. For total storage capacity 51m3 to 200m3 or single tank volume>20m3

1.         At least 60 meters away from the outer wall of the industrial zone outside the station.

2.         45 meters away from civil buildings

3.         At least 25 meters away from the shoulder of highways, first-class and second-class roads outside the station

4.         At least 20 meters away from the shoulder of the third and fourth-level highway outside the station

5.         At least 1.5 times the pole height from the overhead power line outside the station.

6.         At least 30 meters away from the first and second communication lines outside the station.

Distance between storage tanks and buildings inside Station

A. For total storage capacity is less than 50m3

1.       At least 40 meters away from civil buildings

2.       At least 45 meters away from open flames and sparks

3.       At least 18 meters away from bottling room, compressor room, bottle storage, tank garage

4.       At least 18 meters away from the guard and duty room

5.       At least 40 meters away from the fire pool and fire room

6.       At least 10 meters away from the periphery of the foundation

B. For total storage capacity 51m3 to 200m3 or single tank volume>20m3

1.       At least 45 meters away from civil buildings

2.       At least 50 meters away from open flames and sparks

3.       At least 20 meters away from bottling room, compressor room, bottle storage, tank garage

4.       At least 20 meters away from the guard and duty room

5.       At least 40 meters away from the fire pool and fire room

6.       At least 15 meters away from the periphery of the foundation.

Remarks: 1 meter = 3.28 Feet
